Just wondering if anyone can identify. wrap is super tight, super smooth not coarse, the green specks you cant tell they are green unless right up on it in really bright light. I know this is typical of Cortland but not sure the pattern is correct. The modern irish linen you definitely can tell the green color and looks more in a knot etc.
I know that Bill Stroud had Blue Mtn make a special order similiar back in the 70's to Cortland but instead of a single green strand i think it had 2 green strands or something. He posted that he sold to Black, Ernie, Dan and Gus etc. because he had to take 500lb minimum order to have it special made. here are some some super close ups.
