I know about what is available on eBay but this is not for a pool related item. It has to be solid rod.

Ebay is full of places for you to find a length of G10 material, But you know this already. Most cuemakers/repairmen already have the bulk supplies cut down to the size we need. You'll be better off finding a foot or so on Ebay, probably cheaper than you will here, and faster also
