If you're trying to pinch pennies to learn this craft, you may want to pick a different hobby. This is the equivalent of fishing, bowling, golfing, racing RC cars and skydiving combined as far as cost goes. Then throw in the dangers of working with machinery you probably don't have experience with. At least you can't lose any fingers while golfing or bowling, unless you're looking for your ball in a lake with alligators!

Honestly though, that is our reality!

Your a little off

I had a friend lose a finger bowling !
But your cost for 200.00 is ok if you don't charge shipping! If not it is the same price as new. And to just add a something about cost it's always nice to save a penny on stuff that does not go into your cues but if you like money don't start building cues! It's funny the way you said what you did. I fish golf bowl and I build 1000.00 RC cars. I would rather build cues than take my XO1 into the wall at 102mph :-)

Hey listen--dont preach to me about pinching pennys-- I am like everyone else just looking for a deal---ok? I got ur pm and I am kicking it around.

funny!

Yeah, I used all of those examples because those are my hobbies too! Haha.. I piss money away on MANY things so I have other stuff to compare it to directly.. I have many thousands in all of the RC car fleet, but that only equals the cost of one of my 5 lathes, or the mill or the cnc or blah blah blah blah blah...Cue building is WAY far out in the lead on expense.. The fishing boat, or the hot rod still don't come close to my machine value, its crazy.. Good thing my wife is gone to stop whining about it! Haha

I get more enjoyment out of my tools than anything else so its a good trade off for me..

I just don't understand why anyone who is tight on cash would even consider this as a hobby, they're more likely to end up a statistic than they are to end up a world famous cue maker.. so.. it is what it is!

Don't kick it around too long!

Don't kick it around too long, you reminded me that I had that set on the shelf, I forgot about it being there. So if you don't buy it soon I'm going to list it for the same price I offered it to you for and it'll be gone quick I'd bet.. like they say, if ya snooze ya lose!
