I'm looking for a nice condition 'window' cue.
Bought one off egay but returned it as it was 'not as described'.:eek:
Please send info on what you've got.
THANKS for the boards!
( and a special thanks to the 'nutz'! )

This is probably a really stupid question, but do you want an actual Palmer, or have you been looking at the "new generation" Palmers? And what's a "widow"? I see that term a lot and don't know what it is. Oops! Window, my bad

An early model, thank you.
The guys with 'em know what I'm talking about but here's a pic.:)
Google 'the palmer collector' for more examples.

hit up joe van buren....aka classicues on here....he will be able to hook you up....

I see you copied the picture from Tate's web site of a model '6' from the 1st catalog. If you check out the second catalog of the model 'D' you will notice it is the same cue with a little longer butt cap. The cue from the second catalog is easier to find and less expensive than the model'6'. There are several (window) cues made by Palmer. My suggestion is to due your research because they very in value.

Thanks for the tips!
BTW, your wife looks HOT holding that scatter gun like so!

WOO HOO! I got what I asked for!

So today, the UPS guy brought the cue I had refinished at Proficient!
I am now the proud possessor of a 1st Cat, custom model #10 Palmer with an #11 butt!
Scot really does NICE work, I must say.
I bought the cue off the bay, the end of last month, and it wasn't in the best of conditions-then again, neither is the original owner. :sorry:
The cue was sold by a guy that is trying to recoup funds that have been used for the owner's expenses as he is in hospice care for cancer, and the seller has been helping "Artie" out.
I have had the pleasure of speaking with "Artie", several times, and he told me a couple of pretty neat ( do the kids still use the word neat nowadays? ) stories about himself and the cue.
I pray Artie has a miraculous recovery from his ailment.
( I hope any of you billiard fellas that has a mind to would do the same. )
BEHOLD!... MY BESTEST CUE!
