Wtb: Snake Wood

Im looking for a 'world class' piece of snakewood for a fly rod real seat insert. It has too be well seasoned, round, around 1-1.5" and in foot long sections. I will buy upto 6 of them. If you can do me this favor please
pm me asap, as this purchase will need to happen quick. My rod is begin
built now and need this wood fast. thanks!

I'm not familiar with what you would expect in snakewoods ability to function as a piece in your rod, but if it involves moving parts, and/or being a part that needs to withstand considerable duress, from what I understand, snakewood may not be the ideal wood for what you're looking for. Snakewood (from what I've heard) can be pretty strong yet brittle and can break almost like glass. I also understand that it can be very difficult to cut without special tools.
