Hello everyone and happy holidays!

I've been thinking about starting snooker lately. I've been googling and searching the forums but I haven't found much info on snooker cues. From what I've surmised they're generally supposed to be lighter and have smaller tip diameters?

Do I need a specialized cue to play snooker? (I know asking merchants if I need to buy something is kind of funny  ). I have a universal smartshaft with an 11.75 tip but that doesn't really change the weight of my cue much (19oz).

At any rate it's 5 days to Christmas and I have no presents yet because I JUST finished finals this morning, so leave any offers, pms and links please!
