BUT - there's no such thing as a Vollmer for under 2K....

I <might> take 2K for mine, and I'm losing big bucks at that price.

Ivory fluer de lis inlays in the butt, lizard wrap, matching caps by Alton, ivory ferrules....

Thanks for your reply! The Vollmer looks really good, but I'm looking for something that's almost plain black, without any inlays! There are a few on a German forum going for less than a thousand euros, so i was hoping to try my luck here as well!
 
I seriously doubt you'll find that. I've never seen or heard of one, not one on his web site.

Just call Michael and have him make one for you. Be sure to tell him that you want to pay under 1000 euros......

Yep, there is a stained BEM plain jane on the German forum just now for 570 euros ($730) there is also an 8 point vollmer with over 100 inlays for just over $2000 :)
