Yet another APA question.

Which APA league/region do you feel has the strongest players?
Do the same teams/people from the same region win year after year?

Just wondering, since there has been discussion about skill levels being unequal in different places.

That holds true

for different regions for any league. It depends pretty much on the AVERAGE skill level for a particular region.

For instance, say the average in Texas is 6, and the average in Indiania is 4, then a 5 in Texas is going to be more skilled than a 5 in Indiania.

Why, because the 5 in Texas played against better competition and still had a 5 average, whereas the 5 in Indiania played against less skilled players on the average and only had a 5 average.

So, what happens, you go to Vegas, and the 5 from Texas shoots as good or better than a 6 from Indiania.

So the more concentrated states with Pool players and competition will usually have understated players in skill, and the smaller more sparsely
populated areas will have overstated players in skill. (on the average)
