hiya all,
from 25-29 of januari, there will be the anual 2006 open weert 9ball championship. This is one of the biggest open championschips in europe and i think its a perfect reason to come and see or play billiard in europe. Its the IPT version of europe
The price money hasnt been anounced yet, only the "special" 7ball ringgame for 8 of the best players around.
Last year: Bustamente won a nice 6000€ in the ringgame. Ralf Souquet, Niels Feijen, Marcus Chamat, Nick van den Berg and Mika Immonen and eventually Thomas Engert (yes the guys from the musconi cup!!) didnt stand a chance against the breaking power of Bustamante
This year there will be 8players, and a 7000€ winner takes it all.
exept from this there will be the normal 9ball championship. for man AND woman seperatly. 4 day qualifying (5sessions) to get to the final 62
Entryfee
Men: € 35,-
Women: € 25,-
Re-entry: € 45,-
7-ball Sudden Death Challenge: € 600,-

i really think its a greath option for good player and poolfuns to come see pool on the other side of the ocean. (And yes, its in amsterdam for those who like to smoke some local specialty
)
If there are AZB'ers who will be coming or playing let me know, as i might go to, and id love to see some AZB'ers in real life once.
SPECIALITY; Ronnie O'sulivan will be playing there too. He has been training with some of the top european pool players for some months.!!!!! How many times will u see ronnie, bustamente, Feyen and other world class poolplayers see playing together AND its in europe.
