Z2 shaft problem

The Z2 shaft I purchased 1 month ago is lighty split lengthways above the tip.
There is an anormal sound whan I use it and, if I continue to do so, it is obvious that the split will increase.
That problem didn't seem to be present at the beginning; I just noticed it yesterday and only a detailed inspection revealed the split.
I don't do hard shots because I have a breaking cue; I suppose that there is a fabrication defect with this cue in particular? (never seen that before with other cheaper cues).
Has anyone else encountered the same problem with a Z2 shaft?

I had one of the old 314's do it too me.....send it in to predator and they will replace it!

Z² defect

I know this problem on the 314². Is it possible to make pictures from the problem. Would be great to know how it looks. I use a Z²-shaft, too.

Predator will....

definitely replace it, as long as you did not sand the shaft. That is the problem with predator and laminated shafts you cannot do some of the maintenance that is common to regular solid maple shafts...steaming dings and scrubbing/sanding them as they have the potential to separate.

The split would definitively not be visible on a picture, even difficult to see it. My attention was driven because the sound produced when hitting the CB was 'bizarre'.
