From that distance its alomost impossible to freeze 6 on the 8 and leave no shot. not to mention with ball in hand on the 5 , its would be real easy to open up 6 and 8 if you even did get them froze. so the kick has a much more higher percentage of winning then tieing up 6 and 8.
its a 2 rail kick shot , kick the 5 towards the 7 ball and cue ball slides down by the 8 ball leaving your opponent snookered behind one of them balls or leaving a tough bank.
