    Diamond table slate removal

I have a 9' Pro Am. It is my personal home table and I also wanted it to be as quiet as possible. Does it make a lot of noise "as is" from the factory? ----No Can it be made quieter? ---Absolutely! One thing I didn't like was the sound of the balls rolling on the hard plastic ball tracks...

    Sub-rail adventures...

Yes but not by much. Those pics are from a full subrail replacement, just adding rail extensions wont add as much material so the important thing is to use strong glue and a sharp blade.

    Sub-rail adventures...

I use a miter saw with a good quality 80 tooth blade. You must make sure that the cushion is adhered very tight to the subrail. If it breaks loose during the cut, that's when you'll ruin the rubber. It helps to have added material on the other side of the cut, so make the extensions a lot longer...

Brunswick Super Speed vs MBS Championship?

I'd have no problem recommending MBS cushions for a GC or any other table. They're actually very good and faster than Superspeed IMO and I've never seen a set go bad.

    loose rail cloth

Call Jay Spielberg from Bedford, NH. One of the best mechanics in the USA. 603-765-6160 If he can't do it, I'm sure he knows someone closer to you that can, or I'd be happy to get them fixed up for you if you're willing to ship to Indiana. 🙂

So What Does One Do When They Don't Have a Decent Local Mechanic...?

Hi, I'd be happy to help get your rails tuned up. Call or email with any questions...

    Thank you, Jay Spielberg!

I want to give a shout out to Jay Spielberg (AZB username A-1 billiards). Jay helped me out by providing me with a hard to find set of Centennial rails after a set that I had restored got lost in the mail on the return trip to the table owner. I highly recommend Jay to anyone needing pool...

    Ridgeback rails out of business?

I met the new owner a few days ago. He said they are currently building rails but would be a few weeks before they're ready.

    The incomparable Brunswick Centennial

Table turned out great! Should be good for another Century :)(y) I can't take any credit for the refinish. That was done by a friend of mine, James Krieger. Excellent work by him as usual. Perfect job on the rails as well as adding new Cherry veneer on the bases. Here's a few pics of the...

Best Way To Remove Gold Crown Formica?

I got the formica from Jerimy Chambers. Not sure how much of it he had left though.

Best Way To Remove Gold Crown Formica?

It isn't easy. I did it to a GC1. I started with a heat gun but that didn't work too well so I used a power hand planer and just slowly shaved it off. Makes a helluva mess! Might be better off just glueing the veneer right to the formica if it is thin enough...

Olhausen rattle, is this a good fix?

Yes... Makita 10" sliding compound miter saw. You need a good, sharp 80 tooth blade and I also spray the blade before each cut with dry lube spray. Go slow and say a little prayer and you'll be fine!

Olhausen rattle, is this a good fix?

I use a miter saw with great results and predictable, repeatable precision. Works well for me but there's more than 1 way to do a good job.

    DIAMOND PARAGON INSTALL

The Professional uses timber strand beams. I will say the Paragon is built very well, the 4 legs as well as the rail assembly is very heavy.
