Break Box 2022 US Open 9 Ball

I was there in 2019. They also used the Accu Rack template. The break box seemed smaller than the one Matchroom just used. I watched SVB run a 6 pack. With the template, this format is fine. Hand racking is not so great for this format, and changing from template to hand rack mid event is...

WORLD POOL (nineball) CHAMPIONSHIP (6-10 April2022), UK, Winner $60K

You haven't specified where the players were breaking from...whether the same side of the table or opposite. If the 9 ball is heading towards either corner pocket randomly, then that shows the ref has even less idea what he/she is doing than if it went to only 1 corner pocket

    Highest break speed?

Lol that’s me in the red shirt holding the light out of the way, and measuring the speed. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    APA foul?

It never ceases to amaze me how many people talk about what “should” be the rule, what the rule is in some other league or rule set, or other completely irrelevant things. The question was regarding APA rules. The rules do not call this a foul. APA Operator explained everything. Cant imagine how...

    APA foul?

The rules contain zero words about intentionally moved balls. There is no rule saying any ball moved is a foul. Thus, intent is irrelevant. You’re making assumptions here based on nothing in the APA rule book. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    APA foul?

The only rule set pertinent to this discussion is APA rules. It is not a foul. The balls *must* be replaced to their original locations. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    APA foul?

Close. If a player moves a ball, the opponent is *requires* to replace the ball to where they thought it was. The only way this would result in a foul is if the cueball came in contact with a moved ball. The LO at the scene made the right call, assuming it was the opponent that dictates...

    Cue Ball Compatibility

A cueball should be the same size, weight, and composition as the object balls. The measle ball may or may not be. If it is old, then it is probably the super Aramith resin. If it is newer (last 3 years say), then it is surely the Duramith resin (same as the Tournament set). Still a very close...

    WWYD Ghost

I’d do this. I’d like a pretty thin angle on the 2. Seems I should be able to shoot 1 in left side, go to side rail and out for a cut on the 2. Roll across table for 3 in same pocket KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

What do you prefer to break with? Heavy or light?

Well, if all variables are kept constant *other than* the cue mass and resultant velocity of the cue at impact* (given the same input force...meaning the same arm and arm muscles and strength pulling the cue with an equal muscle contraction), then F=MA would precisely describe the difference in...

What do you prefer to break with? Heavy or light?

Absolutely no offense intended, but what you describe sounds like you are differentiating between terrible and a little less terrible, and saying there is little difference. If I evaluate the grip of the tires on my car, I don’t look at the difference between sliding off the road and crashing...

    Aramith Blue Circle Cue Ball

The closest replacement for the blue circle centennial ball would be the blue circle centennial ball. You can buy it directly from Brunswick. Apparently there are a few online places that have them as well. No point getting something similar when you can get the exact thing. KMRUNOUT Sent...

    Aramith Blue Circle Cue Ball

My experience is completely different. I think the Tournament cueball plays excellent with the Tournament set. Plays extremely similar to how the measle ball plays with the super Aramith set. I actually don’t care for the super Aramith cueball. It plays quite different than the measle ball...
