No problem KJ. Whether or not I understand would be my burden not yours and I dont take it personally. Why should I. I stated my thoughts and feelings and they are exactly that. My thoughts and feelings. Just as youre allowed to express yours so was I. But thats not why Im replying to you. The...

Good post KJ. I didnt mean to sound like I was passing moral judgement if thats the way it came across. Im just as critical of myself or more believe it or not.

No. I dont know of a better way to make this repair and I dont think I would try it if I did. I dont think a new cue under construction should have to be repaired. I think Eric called it detail work and yeah I'll go along with very minor stuff. But points happen to be a structural part of a...

Eric. If you look at the time line youll see the man already made an attempt at covering up the void in the point. At 5:06pm hes asking what he should touch it up with. At 9:53pm hes saying he filled it with epoxy and pigment and asking should he use a marker or something. Theres no way epoxy...

Since it was me that said make the man a new cue Ill go out on a limb and assume youre referring to my post. Glad I could bring a laugh into your day Dick but I really dont see whats so funny or slight about a void in a point being covered up with a marker. Maybe you can explain the humor in...

If you ask your customer what you should do how do you think he would feel about you using a marker? If you were the customer how would you feel about it? Correcting a mistake is one thing but covering up a mistake that way just isnt right. If youre going to make cues to sell do it right or...

Can existing leather wrap be saved during a refinish?

If you spend $400 on an elephant ear wrap you should get the elephant with it. It can be done but its not the correct way to do a refinish.

    radial thread shafts

Some of the radial tapped shafts will thread on to the original uniloc screw but theyre not the same thread configuration. Cuetec is one example.

    scrimshaw

No definitely not. Pointillism and scrimshaw are two distinctly different techniques. Some see what they believe is scrimshaw but its actually Pointillism and is done using a needle similar to how a tattoo is done. The needle on a tattoo gun can be modified to do this type of art work. True...

Making a linnen wrap more stickier - any tricks?

Try Rose Water & Glycerin. In the US its available in Pharmacies. Dont know about your country. Just rub a little on your hands like washing your hands. Works for me.

so much for the custom cue.....

D-Rock Would you care to take a guess at which cuemaker offers the guarantee below? (Insert cuemakers name) cues are guaranteed for life against manufacturing defects that are not the result of warpage or abuse. Is that a warranty that would be acceptable to you? If not why.

so much for the custom cue.....

Well of course the maker rushed through making the cue. Everybody knows the buyer never does anything wrong. You know. That customer is always right thing
