When Working on Your Fundamentals - Maximum Number of Key Thoughts You Can Work On at One Time

I concur with the 'work on one thing at a time'-thought, but what I found over the years is: if you have more than one thing you need to change in your fundamentals, then be prepared to revisit things you thought you had drilled in previously because you tend to 'forget' them while working on...

When Are You Playing Your Best Pool?

And sometimes it takes several sessions to find out what component was altered exactly. Sucks even more. (spoiler alert: lot of times Mr. Elbowdrop paid a visit)

    “I beat myself…”

In Holland, most peope say "have fun" or "enjoy" at match start. I like that, we're all playing to have fun after all, but it does not mean I wish my opponent any luck (good or bad). Something I heard sometimes after losing a match, is that the opponent who beat me would talk about how much bad...

    “I beat myself…”

did anyone quote TCOM yet? "I didn't deserve this." Fast Eddie: "Yes, you did." Or Forest Whitaker's character, who starts talking about something entirely different than the match he won, as if it didn't matter at all to him. That must be nice to hear as a loser!

Luck vs Skill Percentage - What Do You Think?

Focusing on 'luck' while playing pool is not very productive, I think. I mean, I've seen many players lose a match because they were totally preoccupied with that one moment where the opponent slopped in a lucky 9 off of a kiss of some sort. Having said that; I'd say if you can make a difficult...

    WPA bans......................

Oh, no doubt. But that incites another question: if the pros really don't need the WPA, is that not something the WPA should have known too? Or are they really making a big mistake here, thinking the pros do need them?

    WPA bans......................

I guess what I'm asking is: are there enough non-WPA-sanctioned, non-nineball events for the players to compete in?

    WPA bans......................

Just a (possibly dumb) question: For the players who choose the Matchroom-side, does that mean for them that they will only play nineball from then on? What options are there for them to play in 10-ball, 8-ball, 14.1, onepocket tourneys?

If you could no longer physically play pool...

I would have some gaps in the week that I would need to find a new purpose for... and honestly, I'd get a bit depressed, I feel.

Do you know anyone that has been banned from a pool room?

He was politely given notice that he was barred for 3 months. Next month he's allowed back in, so we'll see if the fun continues. Btw, he was also banned from his own home by the mayor for 10 days (no joke), just to illustrate what type of specimen this is. Let's say he re-invents anti-socialism.

Do you know anyone that has been banned from a pool room?

Here in Holland, we recently had a guy that was banned because he relieved himself on the carpet all around a pooltable. A lot went on with this guy in the weeks leading to this, but this was the last straw.

50% over the 2 occurrences we mentioned here, sure. I'll show you some more occurrences, so we'll have some data to talk about: This Quentin Hann you see here, was notorious for the 'smash break-off' in the nineties. (also notorious for match fixing, but that's another matter) In this video he...
