How much work is involved in changing a 10ft Brunswick table over to olhausen slate, rails and pockets. I want to give this customer an option instead of refinishing the table,and replacing it is not an option for them.It seems when I think about it the crossbeams would have to be modified and...

Dont ever remember seeing that table 7'one pice slate,better check your measurements again.Only one that was one piece is the 32"x64".Sold hundreds of Bristols through the years and only did one 6',and it was one piece.

Did it have an Olhausen label on the rail?

i think olhausen uses brazilian slate now,if you want italian you have to specify and pay extra for it.

The slate dolly exists.I was at Mohegan Sun setting up the tables for the challenge of champions on Monday. John was there on tuesday trying to sell one to my friend Joe, I believe he showed him pictures of it too.

Nice looking table,never heard of that brand, looks a little like an olhausen remington. I don"t think the table is made of mahogany just because there are so many knots.

I used to install a lot of Brunswick tables for a local dealer,and have never run across a madison with those blocks.I know that on some tables dealers could order 3/4" inch or 1" slate but never knew a madison could come with unbacked slate.Looks like you had a lot of fun with that one.

I would have to say it is substandard,even the folds in the side pockets look loose. The spillage combined with the humidity wouldn't help either. I have an occasional callback here in the northeast with loose simonis but have never seen it that bad.

Heard it through the grapevine that vitalie closed up couple weeks back.Anyone have any info on reopening, when or ever?

i believe it was about 500 to 1000 less if i remember.It has been awhile since i saw one.
