Thank you for doing this.
I don't have a Droid device (I have an iPhone). Is there an online Droid emulator available that would allow non-Droid people to run the app, maybe in a browser?
Thanks again,
Dave
Look for Andy or Bluestacks

It would be awesome if you could write an app to automate scoring, rating, and record keeping for the BU Exams. We currently have a crude online spreadhsheet tool available, and I think Isaac is working on a browser tool (per his post in the TDF thread), but a Android app would also be nice.Hi guys. I made an android app for the ghost drill (free, no ads). It's for playing the drill (10 racks for 9 ball). The rating system is derived from Dr. Dave's ranking. It's my first android app, but one of several that I want to make because I love pool! Please let me know any suggestions, bugs, etc. Thank you!
Awesome job! I played around with it some and it seems to work fairly well.As I promised on TDF thread here is the initial draft of automated BU scoring webapp. Please share your feedback and suggestions. Thank you.

It would be nice if there were also a "Player Rating" feature that would use the most recent Exam I and Exam II scores (or allow the user to enter the scores on their own) and automatically list the corresponding BU Rating (and alternative designations) and Diploma level achieved, per the info here:
BU Ratings
I'll try out your tool the next time I run through the exams. Maybe others can do the same.
Have you tried the exams yet (or have you been to busy working on these webapp tools)? As I promised, I will send you a free diploma after you post scores and videos.
Best regards,
Dave
Thank you so much. Please let us know when it is ready so I can try it out.Thank you, Dave.
I'll add "Current Player Rating" as well as some more enhancement in a next few days.
I understand completely. Take your time.I tried the exams myself several times, but I still want to improve and reach a bit higher level before applying for the official diploma. I really appreciate your offer of the free diploma, thank you.
Do you use software to help write them, or is straight text coding?
Thank you! Please let us know when you add more. And good luck with the exams.I added Current Player Rating with a link to apply for official diploma to the BU scoring webapp. More enhancements to come soon...
That's awesome!I added ability to review/edit past exams - just click on Data/Time of the exam to view/edit that exam score sheet. Sometimes you have to take a break and continue the exam later. Obviously this is not possible during the official recorded exam, but is OK while practicing. Also you'll be able to review exams later and see exactly which shot/position you struggle with and build you practice sessions accordingly.
Note that this feature is not available for the exams that were stored before I introduced it.
The entire first exam is in the following printable PDF file:do you have the entire test in one printable .pdf file, or a way to order it spiral-bound?
How is your practice going?Gotta give this a try when i got time to first practice drills couple times.

Exam I - Fundamentals
and the entire second exam (depending on your score on Exam I), is in the following printable PDF file:
Exam II - Skills - Bachelors level
Exam II - Skills - Masters level
Exam II - Skills - Doctorate level
The BU Exam Instructions document (also a printable PDF) is also useful to have handy.
Other useful files (including B&W versions of the exam files and printable PDF score sheets) and video demonstrations can be found on the BU Exam resources page.
Good luck,
Dave
PS: Please post your scores (and videos if available) after you try the exams and maybe again in the future after you improve.
How is your practice going?
Please post scores (and videos if available) when you get a chance, both now and maybe again in the future to see how much you are able to improve over time.
Thanks,
Dave
