I'd pay big bucks for a PPV of a race to 100 between Soufi and Jayson Shaw. And for these two, that race would be a one day affair.he's placed 2nd in the world championship last year.. but he hasn't made much noise since. his manager/handler ripped him off on the WC prize money iirc. either way he's a streaky player. very entertaining when he's on
Yes confusing. It looks to me like stage 1 was 42 groups of 4 players (168 players). Each group playing double elimination, advancing the final 2.
Stage 2 is 21 groups of 4 (84 players). Each group playing double elim, advancing the final 2 (I think).
Then single elimination of 32 or 48 or 64, I can't figure it out.
This thing is way too confusing.
Stage 1: https://poolcenterapp.com/index.php?role=viewer&id=1810&locale=en_us#quadro7502
Stage 2 groups, and at the bottom it seems the single elimination.
It says "last 48" but when you count the players in round 1 of the single elimination, there are 64 (32 matches). I can't figure out how they went from 21 groups of 4 players in stage two to 64 players in the first round of single elimination.Yes confusing.
On brackets page https://poolcenterapp.com/index.php?role=viewer&id=1811&locale=en_us you have to scroll further down to the elimination stage of last 48, last 16.

Actually the last 48 is double elimination for 48 players (32 players from initial round matches #1 to #16 and 16 from winners match #17 to #32) from group stage. These 48 players play until last 16 remain so single elimination actually start from last 16It says "last 48" but when you count the players in round 1 of the single elimination, there are 64 (32 matches).
