1992 SOUTHWEST
Forearm: Birdseye Maple forearm with 6 high/low Gancalo Alves points each outlined in blue/black/maple veneers.
Butt Sleeve: Gancalo Alves butt sleeve with Birdseye Maple band below accent ring.
Joint: Flat faced phenolic joint with a 3/8x11 brass joint pin.
Ring Work: Slotted ebony blocks outlined in maple veneers at A, B, C, D & E positions.
Wrap: Black with white speck Irish linen.
Shafts: 2 13.4 mm Shafts (Made by SouthWest). 1 12mm Shaft. (Original not pictured)
Weight: Butt: 16.4oz Shafts: 2@3.8oz and 1@3.4oz
Length: 58 inches
Condition: Forearm and buttsleeve was completed refinished recently by SouthWest.
The 2 13.4mm shafts were made recently to replace the original shafts. All butts and shafts are straight. New shafts have light play.

Butt Sleeve: Gabon Ebony butt sleeve with 4 reverse floating curly maple points with ivory and silver inlays between each point.

Ring Work: Trademark silver rings at A, B, C, D & E positions. 192 silver pieces in total.

Somebody help me here. Does refinishing by the original cue maker change the value of these cues?

IMO, I dont think so. If theres a need for a refinish, you should try to get the original cuemaker or someone closely associated to the original maker to do the job.
ie Gus Szamboti's cues if needs refinishing should be done by Barry Szamboti or in this case Jerry's cues should be refinished by SouthWest.
