I even looked up the product ID to find it on any other billiard supply sites and the description is the same on all the others.

It does look like a 2x2, but looks can be deceiving. I did look at the other cases and I think it is a 2x2 because all the other cases specifically say 2 butts and 4 shafts.
 
I'd guess 2X2 also, based on the other Sterling descriptions. If you would like something more flexible, look into the Sterling Wave. I have one that does either 2X5 or 3X4 with the new "softtube" construction. While the style is a little different, the interior is the best of any case I've ever owned, including Instrokes.

It's a 2X2...you can tell by the number 4 in the item number. A 2X4 would be STH6.

Or maybe you don't like relying on your AZ friends to help you out....thanks anyway. I figured it out shortly after I posted this....by asking JB cases.
