Ron,

How hard was it to get the laminate off? I'm trying to figure out what to do with my chipped/dented laminate rails.

Laminate

The rails were the easiest, because they were smaller, than the rest of the table. A heat gun and a scraper. Take your time. Thanks, Ron

You got here stripped alright, but what does she weight? 450lbs!!? ;)

Hey Ron,

I think the question about the rails is what are you doing with the diamond sights? Is there a way to mark where the old ones were at or do you have to measure them out and drill them on the new laminate for the rails? What are you going to use to cut the hole, a drill bit or some kind of punch?

Thanks,

Eric

I am going to use a plunge router. I was able to save the old pieces and i will use them to mark the new pieces. Then i am going to make a jig. I will post pictures soon. I got the rails laminated and i am going to start on the cabinet tonight. How is your project going?
Thanks, Ron
