The wife & I went down to NH last friday to spend the day with Ken Tewksberry so I could take a course on diamond systems. Those who don't know who Ken is.. he is a certified master instructor located in Concord NH. I have known Ken for a long time & he is a great person & an excellent instructor. We went over 5 different systems throughout the day & 1 I picked up... the others I kinda picked up but are still a bit vague. With my thick head it takes me some time to learn new things. I have the diagrams of everything we did & now need to spend some alone time fine tuning them.
I had broke in at the low A level play some years ago but unfortunatly don't get much time to play now & am playing at the B level. 1 day a week... sometimes 2 don't help ones pool game. Throught the day we would spend a few minutes on other things as focus drills, pattern play etc. I have always been a strong believer regardless how well you think you play we never stop learning & need to keep an open mind to any new tips we may pick up along the road. This comming year our remodeling project should be finished & will have the opportunity to have a table in home so I can play a lot more & compete at a higher level again. I will be going back to do more work with Ken in the future.
For those in the New England area who are looking for extra help with their game Ken's website is www.billiardinstructor.org. I am sure anyone who uses him will be very happy with the results. It was worth every penny I paid.
Good luck to those out there trying to improve.
