Update on the Des Moines pool scene

1001 > 1000!!!

Listen here fella, Dont go all "I can do anything better than you can" on me. Umm K.

Sidenote the guy Dennis you had do my lawn is a genius. He actually told me what I thought was grass in the backyard were actually very nice plants. Now I realize why I have no fence in my backyard, It's totally enclosed by landscaping. My puppy doesnt even try to run away anymore. He does really good work. Thanks for the Rec.

I'll tell you what, i will go with you to the WSOP and give you a chance to stake me.

I can honestly say this with a straight face....

THAT WOULD BE CHEAPER THAN POOL! I'm not gonna play the whole series, just a couple of the smaller circuit events. I wanna win a bracelet.

I am 100% serious, i dont care about a bracelet, i wanna parlay something small into SOMETHING BIG ! ! !

Ditto...road trip?!

That would be the way to do it. Have like 4 or 5 buddies in each event and just split whoever makes it to the cash's money. Sounds fair to me.

*NOTE* I won't stake anyone playin poker because I think I'm the best player I know. In pool, that's a work in progress right now but I'll get there Im only 26 and not married with no kids...I got plenty of time.

Thats a major flaw in your game.

That's the truth. I've played with quite a few guys over the last 5 years. The one's I know just don't know or care to share some of the things I know. Keep in mind I grew up 15 minutes from Atlantic City, some of this came with the air I breathe.

$1500 can turn into 300-400k in 3 days if you avoid the bad beats and play really good.

You dont even have to play that good, just avoid the beats. I was on my way to a big cash in the Sunday Million one day because a guy decided to make me 3rd in total chips with 80 people to go with Kh 7d against my Kc Ks.

Sadly he had the K of hearts, and 2 hearts on the flop and 2 more on the turn and river made me only $2500 richer instead of 200k. :(

I just love it when that happens. I seriously want to throw up when I get a bad enough beat. Sometimes it's OK losing a coin flip but I mean the runner runner type of beats hurt my stomach.

I'm missing out -- what's the deal?

Rainy day??

Google Shanelle Lorainne!

yes, its a rainy day which means its a "rain day" for me which means No Work for me!

As for all of you knuckleheads planning on going to vegas for the get rich quick scheme, why not buy 100 or 500 powerball tickets all w/ different numbers. ITS AT $222 MIIIIIILLLLLLLIIIIIIIOOOOONNNNN DOLLARS!!!!!

I want a backer, ill even play for a small %

Depending on how many circuit events and how long your stay is will definitely play a factor in total backing amount if you are including just the tournament entry fee, or also hotel/food/hotel etc... I would think one three day event for $1.5K buy in you could get away with everything I listed for $3K if you don't plan on doing much else besides the event...depends if you split hotel fee with anyone or get your own room too since that can get pricey.

Bad beats aren't such a bad thing... and river cards can sometimes be good.

I would play if I get staked. Tossing money away is easy when its tossable.

I think there are several moments in every tournament where things just have to fall your way and there isn't a thing you can do about it -- just be in the right place at the right time.
