I bought a large board of Soft Curly Maple about a month ago and just cut it up today. I was really impressed. The board measured 9' x 2' by between 11/2" and 15/8". Out of all the pieces I cut there were only 5 that could not be made into cues and they will work for butt pieces. Every piece was 3 dimensional. See the picture below but it does not do them justice. The dark marks are saw burns. I am so happy with it I just had to tell someone.
