Jacoby cues

I had a custom Jacoby made in 2008. They are well made, the shaft wood is pretty good and have a stiff taper. Mine was a simple model with a radial pin, one piece birdseye maple butt with some staining and inlays.
I sold the cue this year because the weight (too light) and balance (too rear weighted) were not what I needed (or ordered).
Overall, they are pretty nice hitting and well made cues and I suspect the balance / hit would depend on what kind of joint you have (radial with phenolic or wood sleeve or 5/16x14 with stainless collar).
I now play with a Joss with 5/16x14 and stainless collar because the balance / weight is much better suited to me.

I just recently purchased a Jacoby cue from Dave. Its my new playing cue now. I think they hit great.
I really like jacoby cues. I have had quite a few. I have had a basic bacote sneaky pete, all the way up to a nice one of a kind fancy ten pointer. I still have a fantastic plain jane cocobolo that I will never sell.
They have all played quite good. I highly recomend them. And the real kicker is they are not overly inflated in the price department. A real good cue at very reasonable prices.

I've got a Jacoby birdseye and ivory box cue. Very reasonable price and great playability. Dave customized his box pattern to accommodate some gunsight inlays for me. He used a "broken ivory" design that is really different. I love the play and have bought two more shafts from Dave since getting the cue. This cue is a keeper and may be the best bang for the buck in my collection.

You know, I am not normally a big fan of floating points ( or boxes for that matter), but I think that is a heck of a nice cue you got there. I like the broken ivory inlays. Very nice:thumbup:

Mine can be seen by clicking on my sig. The folks at Jacoby are GREAT, and their cues play really well. You'll be VERY happy with your decision when you get the cue. WHOLE lotta cue for the $$$ :thumbup:
I have been playing with a Jacoby for going on 6 years now and love it. Say what you want, but, I went from a Richard Black to a Searing (both very fine cues) to this Jacoby and have no intentions of changing. Dave and his people are very nice, they make a fine cue at a fair price. I would be surprised if you weren't satisfied with your purchase.
