Well, that sounds pretty promising. I suspect they'll get 125 1P players max. So they should be able to get through that field pretty steadily. I suppose it'll also depend upon how many tables they allocate to the women's 9-ball event.Doc,
What Bobby Rone said in the COMMENTS SECTION OF THE WEB SITE is that the one pocket finals would be on Thursday, the 17th.
This is the FIRST National/International one pocket tournament that I know of that started on a FRIDAY in YEARS. Amateurs like you and I can get in our hits over the weekend and be gone by Monday morning if we choose to.
I really love the idea that the one pocket starts on a Friday. It frees up the weekend quite nicely.
How many days the one pocket matches last depends entirely upon how many people show up. I recall reading something that said that the matches wouldn't be held up to stretch out the tournament but that the finals would occur on one particular day. Now the promoters have shown the one pocket event a little grace.
The Men's Ten Ball starts on Wednesday, the 16th, which means to me that the one pocket will most likely be wrapped up by Tuesday except for the One Pocket finals on Thursday the 17th.
Thanks~ Doc
