i went to www.wpba.com

realised that this organization is nice

helped the women players earn their living in pool, as in tournaments

anybody from USA can form a similar organization,

for men players?

good example to follow

There have been several attempts over the years to organize a similar men's tour. Between crooks at the helm, and others trying to "do it better", there has never been a concentrated effort for any significant amount of time. There's only so much $$$ in professional pool and with the attempts at running multiple men's tours at times, it spread the $$$ too thin. The WPBA has a well-planned, well-executed, and well-led plan that is a proven winner. Sure, there have been bumps in the road from time to time, but they've been around 20+ years and attract the best players from around the world.

WPBA has def been a force in pool. Unfortunaetly havent been able to draw corproate sponsors yet, but they find a way to hang on

Unfortunately, the men seem to shoot themselves in the foot every time someone tries to form an organization. A friend of mine often says that they need someone to do it who isn't a player, with good organizational skills.

What, you mean like a successful, self-financed businessman with plenty of experience in big TV promotions and proven mass-marketing success? Been there, done that and some poor suckers paid the entry fees into the qualifiers for the non-existent 2007 Tour card GUARANTEED to be worth $100,000 a year. (But don't worry, now there's a GUARANTEED $200,000 to be won in Galveston, so that's alright then, isn't it oh best-beloved?)

I've said it before and I'll say it again - The UPA, WPA or whoever is still left who gives a damn should just go to the WPBA and PAY them to run an MPBA tour for them. It's not a question of which gender is swinging the biggest stick anymore. They just need to man-up, admit the WPBA can spot them 5 and out when it comes to running a Pro tour and get it done.

Of course the WPBA most likely wouldn't want to do it even if they were asked *really* nicely. Back in the day they used to be part of a single organization and I heard the divorce was not very amicable. (Hell hath no fury and all that jazz.)
