Cutting internal threads

on a Taig size mill. Can it be done? I'm talking shaft and butt size pieces, not jp's. There may be a way, but if there is call me stupid because I just don't see it. Chris H sells a threading setup for his lathe and that is what I will probably end up buying if the mill idea is a no-go.

Of course it can. What you will need is a thread mill. If you have a taig then is is real simple. Take the spindle motor off of the dove tail mounted on the Z axis. Remove the dove tail and rotate it 90 degrees. Then remount everything. You will have turned your Vertical mill into horizontal. You will of course need to figure out how to hold the cue so that you can get to the end you are threading.
