Does the outer hard shell go all the way up to the zipper? and is it hard everywhere on the case?(meaning you cant press in the shell)

Just wondering because i don't like the hard cases out there where i can press in the outer shell with my fingers.

Yes it goes all the way to the zipper. On this case you can press the shell some because I made it durable vs. hard. The formula we use to make the shells is different than anyone else's. It's made so that you can jump on it without breaking the shell. The shell will flex a little to absorb the blow but will not break. (disclaimer: will not break with my 200lbs jumping on it.)

Other makers are using a type of plastic that is harder and more brittle. If you do the same test then it will splinter and crack. When it's really cold this plastic is also more brittle than ours.

In a side by side comparison you will find the protective properties of the tubes used in the Sterling cases to be far superior than those used in just about all other cases.
 
Thanks for a fast reply, if the case is able to withstand someone jumping on it then i shouldn't worry too much about what i might do to it.

What about temp changes? Would i have to worry about my cues if i had to take the bus in winter and the bus was an hour late?

Well the case is not a cooler so it doesn't keep warm things warm and cold things cold. The cues however are wrapped in layers of cloth and foam rubber surrounded by non-conductive plastic. So it's insulated to a higher degree than the cases from the competition. If you had to stand outside for an hour in the winter your cues would be at a higher temperature than the temperature outside the case. At least this is my finding from some testing I did earlier this decade on cases of ours with similar construction.

For the record a cooler works by keeping a layer of air between two layers of plastic, same as a Thermos which does the same thing with metal and plastic.

Yes and we are adding a jump cue pouch inside the longer pocket. It will be padded mesh to protect the handle from the other contents of the pocket.

Note: it holds jump cue handles that are up to 14.5" in length.

Also if your JC butt is too long for the pocket I can give you a very quick way to modify your Wave case to hold a JB butt at just the right height.
