How Many Carom Cuemaker Support USBA???

How Many Carom Cuemaker Support USBA??? Just a question beside Schuler Cue [out of business] and Dieckman. What other USA Carom Cuemaker support The USBA. If Crown Cue were to make Carom Cue - or other Cuemaker , would they support USBA. And in what way? I believe in an old post I mention five Cuemakers!

.- Schuler is not out of business. Actually, I think they are selling cues more than ever, they even have a deal recently with Dani Sanchez's store to sell cues in Spain and the rest of Europe.
Correction: Adam, Kilby cues and Tiger are also sponsors of the USBA.

Hey Bob,

My next door neighbors sometimes turn their music up too loud, but they're good people, so I tell them how their music bothers me and they usually fix it. Not always, but most of the time. They're good neighbors, because they're all about their family and friends and a safe neighborhood and happy neighbors. Their goal is the same as ours, even if we have different views on some issues.

Pool is very similar, to us. There is at least one league you won't find me playing in, probably more. It has more to do with my preferences of the game and what I feel is right. But, their end goal is the same as ours.... to further the fun and understanding of the game(s). So, we learn to deal with the differences. It's not whether we support a league, or not. It's whether we support the same goals. If the main goal is the same or similar to ours and they are not doing anything "wrong", then we are glad they might be reaching a different crowd.

All that being said, I am sure there is something in just about every league that I can find that I don't like. Some of them have bigger "don't likes" than others. It doesn't mean I don't support them. It simply means there's only one of me. :grin:

As a side note: If I don't like what I see happening in my neighborhood or other association, I try to get involved. My involvement represents and encourages the things I believe in and keeps me aware of what is happening, most of the time, so I can stand up for what I believe is right. Instead of taking up arms, consider taking up a position, even as a very active member, if nothing more. That way, you know SOMEONE is representing the things you believe in, so strongly. It's okay if you don't agree with everyone, all the time, as long as your end goal is pretty much the same.
 
It what done behind the scene, not in front, that count!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or Am I just Sleepinzzzz???????????

The thing is to get involved and be active enough that they want your help and will pay more attention to your opinions and ideas. Also, if you are involved, you are going to have a better clue what might be going on behind the scenes and better able to alert the rest of the concerned community of such possibilities.

In the meantime, don't stress too much over it. Stress causes lots of health problems, including heart attacks. Stuff can really make you mad, but you have to be careful not to let it goad you into health problems. You are only one person and nothing is THAT important, other than your family.

You are exactly right. Schuler cue has changed cueshops but the same fine product is being made today.

Yes Schuler Cue are in a different Cue Shop, You still see Schuler Cue and other donated to USBA for raffle.

First of all, let me apologize. I hate it when peope don't read the whole message, but I am just as guilty as the next guy, once in a while.

We want to support the sport and the streams, regardless of whether it supports one organization or another. We don't ask if an event is BCA, or APA, or USBA. We ask, "What is the game?" or "Who is playing?" or "Will it benefit the streaming community, or encourage the sport?" If it is something we feel promotes the games in a way that looks good on the pool/billiards community as a whole, we generally want to get involved, if we can afford to do so. We would probably even support a streamer we don't care for, if it's for a game or event we do like and believe it should have backers to help keep the streams free. We are more into doing what we believe is right, rather than what our mood or our attitudes might prefer.

If Gene builds a cue for the USBA, it is because he has been asked, because he wants to contribute, because we believe in Dennis, etc.. How many organizations support carom sports?

We believe Dennis will do good things for the sport, but not without support from his friends and we do consider ourselves his friends. Even if Gene didn't make a cue, he would do what he could to help Dennis succeed in his goals. If he thought Dennis was in a failing situation and there was no way to prevent the fall, he would try to help him survive the fall. That's what friends are all about.

I know that Gene has taken on carom cues as a regular cue he plans to build and I'm pretty sure you're going to see a Crown Cue as one of those donated carom cues Dennis has requested. :wink::cool:
 
JesPiddlin, apologize accepted. I hope Gene will let me view those Crown Carom Cue First!!!!!!!!!! I wonder what Gene think about those new Crown Cue Cases from Sterling??

I just saw a nice group of carom cues Gene is currently working on. I thought he was only working on one or two. I was WAY off. Nice stuff he's got coming along... Right now, he's got a starting price of $285 for a carom cue. They are obvious Crown Cues by design (one or more crowns on each cue), but they will have a different look than the regular playing cues, so they are more easily recognizable by sight, other than just the shape. It's gonna be a while before they are finished, but I am excited about being able to put them on our website in a few months.

Last time I talk with Dieckman he have 21 Cuemakers who were donating cue. Have Crown Cue decide which cue Gene will donate?

Oh yeah.... Did I forget to mention that it's not too early to claim one of these beautiful cues??? PLUS, if you want points and inlays, you've still got a little time before they can even be added.

Gene said the cues will not be finished until sometime between January and March, depending on how busy he stays. (The Christmas season can get pretty busy with custom orders and last minute buys!) If someone wants one for a Christmas gift, there is a slight possibility he can have one ready by then. Of course, if he can't manage it before then, we can always send out a gift card that the intended recipient can receive in the mail, or you can package the card up and give it to them, personally. :cool:

No, he hasn't decided which one he will donate, yet.
 
Have Gene [ Crown Cues] figure out what spec he will be using? I kind of favor the top or #1 cue. Give me a price and added info. like will they come with one or two shafts and can you obtain a pool shaft with it?

I know Dieckman Mark his shaft so if someone call with the info he can made another shaft, without sending cue.

Maybe another photo would be nice as this photo make the Forearm of cue to look long!!

Gene generally makes a cue with one shaft, although a 2nd one can be finished up within a week's time, if desired. He said for the top cue... finished as is, with no added inlays, points, etc., the price will be $335 with one shaft, or $420 with two shafts.

In a recent e-mail to me, you mentioned our #2010 cue. Maybe you should look again at the 2010 cue http://crowncues.biz/2010.html and see how long the forearm is. :yikes: :shocked2: The points make it look much shorter than it is. :thumbup: Keep in mind, though... The cues in the photo I posted above are not cut down to size, so the forearms ARE a little bit longer than they will be, when finished. Gene is trying to keep his carom cues looking a little different than the standard playing cues, though. He wants to give them their own style/identity, not make them look like all the other cues in the world. I hope that's okay with you. :wink:
