JollyCue Tip Tool?

I don't get it.. I have a good med/hard tip on my cue from John Madden. I play 5-15 hours per week and don't ever touch my tip except for the very rare re-shaping that I don't do that more than 2x per year. I never scuff or tap my tip, I just chalk after every shot.

I know guys that shape & tap their tip at least once daily. They go through a lot more tips than I do too. My current tip has been on my cue for nearly 2 years and is still going strong.. It's just the way I like it! YMMV

Exactly. The difference however is that this tool seems to make the tip and the ferrule fit together like a puzzle piece. When I used to use it I could turn the tip on the ferrule until it sort of sank into the grooves and locked in. I don't know a better way to explain it but I have never been able to get a better fit of the facings on the tip and ferrule using a handheld device than with this one.

I am certainly not sure if what I am describing is what is actually happening but after having put on many tips with this device I am convinced that it is the best to face off both the tip and the ferrule and mate those two surfaces together.

Additionally this device does not harm your shaft or ferrule in any way like some of the similar devices which are on the market.

Although I sound like a salesman for this device I assure you that I am not. I owned one many years ago and have lamented it's loss ever since. Many years ago I stopped installing tips for myself and others so I didn't look too hard to find another one. As soon as I can I will however buy another one now because it's just a great tool to have when you do want to install your own tips.
