Is there a way to fix a 3/8x11 shaft that is stripped? and/or can you put a 5/16x14 thread/dowel inside? these questions might seem to common sense but... i dont know and am wondering what or if anything can be done.

the proper way would be to plug with phenolic and re drill and tap
