Titlist

I recently picked up 3 pre-45 1-piece Titlist cues. The wood is unfamiliar to me. I first thought it might be padauk or palm, but I just don't know. Judging by the tips and decals, these cues are "like new" and have barely been used. Can anyone tell me more about the wood?
Also, I am interested in having at least one of these cues and a rosewood 2-piece converted. Any cuemakers want to tackle this job?

I've found that often times he outside wood can be difficult to identify. ESP then you get a old laquer finish. I had 2 pph cues here that I thought were rosewood until I sanded some finish off. There are a number of makers that can do the conversion including myself. Jerry Rauenzahn is known for his conversions.

How many do you have? If you interested email me and we can talk more about it

Interesting...because someone has suggested they might be oxidized purpleheart.
I have 3 Dave, but I also have many 1-piece and 2-piece in rosewood. Rosewood happens to be my favorite. Cocobolo especially, but I have never seen a Titlist in cocobolo. Anyone who would like to contact me can do so at randy@verybestcues.com. I would like to do at least 8 more conversions in 2010...maybe more! Although I do have a few of my own ideas, I am also looking for cuemakers who would like to express their artistry.
