Well I've gone to the extreme here LOL. I orignally was just going to post the newest 404 winners this season, but I thought "The heck with it, i'm going to dig up all the winners of the past 2 seasons!!" from Shooterville. This took quite some time, but it's pretty intresting to see the results. Some events were missing from the news archive, some of the winnings of players were not recorded, I tried to find everything I could.

2007-2008 Season, handicaps from 4-10,* includes calcutta.
1: 11/10/2007, Shooters, 60 Players 1: Eric Hilderbrand (9) $1800* 2: John Timmermans (7) $1170*

Totals: Over 512 Players recorded. Over $37,575.00+ given out to 1st and 2nd place alone.

*Intresting to note, there were less players this season, but more monies given out to 1st and 2nd. Maybe more top heavy for price funds, or a result of more betting in the calcutta. This season was also dominated by high handicaps players (9-10).

2008-2009 Season, handicaps from 4-11, * includes calcutta.

Totals: Over 812+ Players recorded. Over $32,000.00 Given out to 1st and 2nd place alone.

*Intresting to note, this season had way more mid to high level handicaps (6-8) winning, then the previous season. This is a result of players getting better over time. This season also had a higher number of complaints about other peoples handicaps, I can't understand why...LOL

2009-2010 Season, Handicaps from 4-11.

12: 03/27/2010, Big Wigs, 58 players 1: Dean MacNaughton (7) 2: Rob Blair (7)
13: 04/10/2010, Shooters, 40 Players 1: Jason Klatt (11) 2: Dave Johnson (8)

walter its not josh rundell.

yea josh used to playat spot a lot thats where i know him and jeet from.

on another note, tol kuy is a pimp. not only does he have an awesome name but when the blind bids got down to 50, he bought it. mike was about to ask who he wanted but before he could tol already announced that he wanted himself. awesome.

on a side note, after the blind bids ended when no one wanted to buy them for 50 anymore, people started going for 90-150 when individuals were announced.

oh yea i think the prize for last weekend was

1st: 860, 1230
2nd: 550, 660

it was something around there i might be off 10-30 bucks on each one but that was the general range. i remember there was 1g difference between 1st and 2nd.

also there were 73 players. the calcutta sheet showed 72 but someone showed up late.

Yeah Tol always buys himself, hes got a lot of heart in himself. But he can't play at Shooters, he will even admitt this himself lol. I dunno why, I think the pockets at Big Wigs are tougher than Shooters.

Alex had him on the ropes in their match on the A side. I think he had him down 6-2 or 6-3. Great playing by John this weekend!

alex was up 7-2 going to 8 and lost hill hill. but that stuff happens, shaka had alex in a bad spot too but ended up losing the going to sunday match so it all evens out.

I heard Shaka was very uncomfortable with some of the railbirds comments. I also heard the same about Alex.

I also had a bit of a situation with someone sitting on the rail and their comments about my match, but thats all said and done. I think John and Butch should be a little tighter on how the spectators act when they're watching a match. There is no reason a player should have to even notice someone sitting there let alone have to interact with them or ignore their comments. So many people get thrown off by comments when they're playing and yet they're the first one to comment during another match and throw another player off. Very VERY bad form.

Congrats to Shaka on his great run in the tournament, I heard he was hitting them pretty sporty also. People will be lining up to buy him in the calcutta next weekend for sure! Great guy for sure, totally deserving of his success this weekend.

shaka's my boy, if he's pissed its cuz hes never done well in the tourny and the one time he does ppl start talking shit. but he knows the drill, that stuff might have bothered him then but he dont really care about it.

I agree that certain people like to question the handicaps of others based on an individual tournament and I think its bullshit. Being the same handicap as Shaka I obviously hear the same things about my handicap. All we can say is check the results. If we were dumping to get our handicaps down, does anyone actually believe we would wait until the smallest field with the least amount of money to play well? I think not.

Shaka was pissed this week because someone was sitting on the rail and sharking him during the match with Alex.

Like it was posted in another thread, unless you're robbing the tournaments there is no reason to adjust handicaps. If people who have played 5 tournaments are complaining about people who have played 20, you just have to take their input with a grain of salt. Maybe those players arent secure with their ability VS their handicap.
