I played the ten ball ghost tonight. It was on an easy over sized 8ft Gandy table. Tell me what ya think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEs-X9s5ldg
Nice runs. Not to nitpick, but the score after your first vid is 3-2 for the ghost. A scratch on the break counts as a loss.
Looked real good Charlie! How did the race end up? Where there more clips for that race that I didn't find?
One thing that I noticed, that I feel can help, is to take the same amount of time on each shot, even the easy ones. When you start to speed up for the easy shots, it can come back and haunt you.
Thanks for posting. As I am sure everybody does, I am always trying to rate someone's game as I watch. It seems from the video that you are at least a solid B player with good potting ability and positioning skills. I guess it might be that the table is easy, but the positioning is a little steeper than I like on average. On a tighter, 9 foot table, that would come back to bite you. I like your game though; on a 9 foot table, you would probably find yourself slowing down a little more to get shorter shape and hit the middle of the pockets more. Do they have 9-footers in there ? All in all, it's brave of ya to post your results.![]()
Excellent game ya got Charlie. I'll leave the fine tuning analysis to the instructors here, as I sure didn't see any glaring faults.
No I play on the 9ft also. I have a video playing the 9ball ghost on a triple shimmed brunswick. I play it race to ten and win 10 to 4 I think. I dont think b players beat the 10 ball ghost. Although I guess that depends on were ya live. Here a B player might beat the 7 ball ghost on a 9 ft table racing to 10 or more. A players will beat the 9 ball ghost on the big table but its close. 10 ball I dont really know.
I don't think most people count a scratch on the break as a loss when they play the ghost. I don't, I just spot up any balls I made on the break and take ball in hand.
