hey nick, happy new year. i was always curious as to how they play. wasn't there contreversy about these cues as to who they were built for and the original description?? not crapping on your post so don't take it wrong. i bet it plays great. is it simaler to a custo fullsplice ??? nice cue.
 
The big deal is

They will never be produced again. Problems included finding straight grain worth working with. They were built using the finest quality Straight Grained Maple available.
This cue has only been sold to upgrade to higher end Scruggs and Cochran cues. Otherwise the do not make it to the secondary market.

This cue has only been sold to upgrade to higher end Scruggs and Cochran cues. They do not make it to the secondary market and when they are sold it has always been to upgrade to a fancier Scruggs or Cochran cue.
The only other Phantom I have seen offered for sale used was TommyT's and he wound up keeping it!
