I won the DVD set "Mastering Pool" with Mika Immonen.

Volumes 1, 2, & 3 (begginer, intermediate & advanced)

I have a bunch of DVD's & have seen TONS of them... Nothing compares to the quality of this DVD set. Really, nothing I've seen even comes close. The production quality of this set is flawless and covers a gambit of quality shots with unrivaled graphic diagrams & narration... Set is a gem.

I would like to trade the set plus some cash for a cue. I'm looking for something cheap, perhaps a used production cue of some sort that I can give to one of my APA team members as a gift. I am the captain of a team and several of my team members are financially "challenged" but are really enthusiastic learners and I think want to give them a cue they can call there own. Actually I have a couple new young members that have passed "the test" (lol) and made it through a full session with their excitment intact and there commitment to learning the game still burning... So' i'll probably start another thread to try to buy a second cue for the other member.

Anyway, I would/could afford to throw in $100 or something into a trade for a cue to give away.... so, DVD"s & up to a C note for a cue...

ANybody got something they would trade?

Hadn't thought of selling them straight out, was hoping to trade for a cue as described in the original post. Suppose that if I dont find a suitable cue to trade for I could just sell for cash & turn that around for a cue... If I dont get a taker I will PM you.

I have a black Earl Strickland Cuetec in %97 condition, the wrap is still shiny and waxy... Played with it one night, bought it when I found action but didn't have my cue with me...
 
I have a scorpion that I had tricked out a bit.
It is the NT model with a leather wrap, 3/8 x 10 joint,
the original fiberglass coated shaft and a shaft from an old series Mcdermott with ivory ferrule. Been stored but as far as I can remember it is straight both together and apart (with the Mcdermott shaft that is). I think that the original one that came with the stick that isn't supposed to warp might have, but I would have to check because I had two of them and through the bad one in the trash at the pool hall.

Really want to stay away from the fiberglass shafted cues, If the scorpion has a maple shaft (old mcd?) I might be interested in that though. Do the rings (if any) in the joints match with the McD shaft onto the Scorpion butt?

I have a Playrs G-21BD cue with a Tailsman tip on it and joint protectors. I had bought it to shoot with then found another one I liked better so I used it less than a month. I would love to have the DVD's to help my son along with the game.

I hate the fiberglass coated shafts as much as the next guy. Except for breaking, it is the stone cold nuts there. That is why I changed the joint to fit the old mcdermott shaft. The shaft has a plain black collar with no ring on it. This was to be my going to a crappy bar league/tournament stick.

I also, have an extra OB1 Radial pin shaft but no Butt to put it on...

ANyone have a radial pin Butt with no shaft they would want to trade???

i would do this trade for my viking i have for sale. stick is in great condition. has a pretty new tip and new irish linen wrap. should be a good fit for what you are looking for.

trade would work out good for me since the stick i want is only 150 and i want those dvds as well.

I got you PM, the thread you pointed out above is a Poisen cue, and looks to be for sale by someone else. I didn't see any Viking cue?
