I found a website from Japan that has a lot of pictures of tournaments in Japan. These pictures are taken within the last ten years.

Tourneys of four ball, both men and womens, and sometimes women playing with men are shown. I know that the starting position in four ball in Japan is different then in Korea, but in the pictures it looks like people who have the white are caroming into one of the reds and the yellow ball instead of caroming into the two reds only and avoiding the other cue ball, confusing:eek:

Several cadre tourneys of 47/2 on the match tables and 42/2 on what I guess are nine foot tables. There are pictures of Koboyashi and his son playing against each other in a 47/2 tournament. I am not sure but I think there is ladies three cushion tournament photos also.

Sometime the problem with translation it won't let you see the pictures. As you study the
site you learn.

What I found was cool was when the women had their tournament the males would be the Referees and then when the inverse occurred the females would referee.

I also like looking at pictures of billiard halls and private clubs.:o

As to how I figured out what was what I looked at some of the numbering in the titles of the folders for the pics ex: 47/2 and 3C, and I also looked at the banners with the numbers in the titles on the first webpage. I got a better sense of what was going on by looking at the pictures and seeing what was happening. Also, Watashi wa Nihongo o Hanashimasu, a little bit having taken some courses in College a while back.
