Ball Polisher for Sale.

Stands 12" high.
16" square.
Electric motor, 1/2 hp, 1200 rpm.
Manual switch with 15 minute timer.
14" turn-table is felt covered amd is 5/8" thick.
All 3/4" plywood construction.
No pulleys or belts.
Handles on side for easy lifting or moving.

A local poolroom had one of these and religiously cleaned 20 sets of balls every day for 5 years before they needed to replace pads.

One area poolroom has had their cleaner for 20 years.

Brand new? Used? Does it come with extra cleaning pads? Does it come with a lid to close while the balls are cleaning and to keep the inside clean while not in use? Trades?

These Ball Polishers are new. The gentleman who makes these, has done so for more than twenty years. Easy load. Best to turn on and load while the turn-table is moving. (Saves wear on the motor not having to start up with all the weight). Once the turn-table is running full speed, just load the balls into the hopper. Then, have a soft cloth available on which to pour a few drops of your favorite ball polish (I always used Karseal). While the turn-table is spinning add a drop of polish on each ball, then briskly rub the balls with the soft cloth in a circular motion two or three times then let them spin for 30 seconds or so. Done. If it takes more than two minutes to polish the balls , you're over doing it. The ball hopper locks in place with a slight rotation and unlocks the same way to unload. It does not come with extra pads. For home use you may never have to replace them. Personally, I had this machine in my pool room with 20 tables. I polished each set a minimum of one time daily and needed to replace the pads after 5 years or more than 1800 days at 20 sets of balls or more than 36,000 uses. It does not come with a cover of any sort. As I have described, one can tell, this polisher is of a commercial quality grade.

Who is the maker of this ball polisher?
 
Pretty Bulky

This polisher seems more suited to a pool hall environment where dozens of balls sets of pool balls have to get cleaned & polished.

For only 1-2 sets of pool balls, personally speaking, I think my Ballstar does an excellent job and has a 8 ball capacity, as well as a automatic polish/clean cycle (2 mins). It's not noisey, has a cover, doesn't weigh much so it's easily transported, it's sturdy & more compact, is widely used in pool halls because of its dependability........and costs less.

For commerical applications, this beast of a polisher seems well suited. However, for home use, forget about it......the Ballstar easily stores on a closet shelf since it's not much bigger than a crock pot. However, those that may want the country look of wood, and have the room to accomodate this polisher so it doesn't have to be moved & stored after being used, then this may be the way to go.
