I received a little harrassment on the "1 Pocket is so slow" thread, I figured I'd better diss my favorite game, 8-Ball to even things up a little. So here goes.

8-Ball is so stupid that two 8-Ballers decided to play a game, loser breaks.

They both reached for the cue ball.

I've never heard of eight ball. I've heard of six, seven, nine, ten, and fifteen. Can someone show me a picture of how you would rack eight balls?

You don't rack it you shake it. There will be a little window that gives you great advice while playing one of the above games, like...


will my wife be pissed if I stay later
will I run out
can I win
should I play for more money
etc

Oh crap... I actually LIKE 8 ball. What's wrong with me? Other then the stupid thing...:)

Not the only game I play though. Been messing around with 10 ball lately and like that better than 9 ball. (No hate mail please)

14.1 is my practice game.

But... I actually like 8 ball.

It may be the game I suck the least at. Yeah, that's it...

Yeah, we all know what a complicated game nine ball is already.... Ummm, what ball do I shoot next ?? 8 ball is a game of patterns, like straight pool, and a game of safeties/strategy like 1P. It sucks bar folk can't ever learn the rules of the game, and keep referring to rules they done learned in the 70's. So, I do agree, it is the most F*ck of game as far as different rules that folks have learned or learned wrongly over the years. No other game rules are as "diverse" as 8Ball.
 
8-ball is the game of choice for the bastard children of retired road hustlers. It is coincidentally my favorite game:smile:
