Returning to Memphis, lookin for az'rs

I have had all I can stand of Yankeeland Vermont. This southern boy longs for the smell of hickory smoked pork, and the sweet drawl of southern belles. I will be returning to the Memphis Tn. area in May. Would love to meet some of you in that area and perhaps get involved in some sort of league play. I'm rated in the 6-7 range for apa play, but not much of a gambler. I'm used to playing on Bboxes so my level would probably drop if forced to play on the big tables. Leave me a PM or respond here on this thread if your interested in meeting at some later date.....Dan

High Pockets has the best leagues IMO and when you combine quality of tables, quality of people (regulars), food, overall atmosphere, ownership/management... It is the best room in the Memphis area by far!

Sounds good. I work the night shift so most folks are getting ready for work or are still sleeping when I get a chance to play. I am generally out and about on Friday afternoon and evening somewhere. Just shoot me a PM whenever you get a chance to get out some Friday
 
if you are looking for a place with bar tables in memphis sharpshooters has the most bar tables about 16 valleys that are fast, good action there and the best league in memphis on tuesday nights in house. high pockets is a pretty good hangout they have in house bca type leagues on the big tables 8 ball on tuesday and weds on the bar tables and sun nine ball league all are ok not much good action but memphis dont have good action every night like it did a year or 2 ago. the rack has all the best tables 9 9ft 4 diamond bar an 2 valley, wedsnight there is steak night 9$ for steak baked potato and a saladit is awesome and they also have a good friday night routine. and they have the rec which is where the road players go it looks like a hole in the wall on the outside but the best gold crowns in the area and the owner makes sure it is a POOL HALL and not a rowdy bar. but basically those are the big four no oher places compare to the those. mon nights is the only night you will find there is not much to do here.
