I bought a copy of Chris Hightower's "The Cue Building Book" a while back from another AZ'er here. I've enjoyed and learned from the book greatly. But I've recently come to realize that the current books are "3rd Edition" while mine must be a 1st edition, as it doesn't say anything on the book cover about which edition it is.

So my question is "What am I missing?" in terms of updated/additional information.

Thanks in advance for any info

Gary

P.S. Yes, I could PM Chris himself, but since I bought the book used, he didn't realize any income from the sale and I'd feel funny about asking him. On the other hand, only one of you out there benefitted anything from the sale either!! :)

While I can't speak for Chris,
I know he is a great guy and wouldn't think he would mind answering a few questions.

As far as you question I have the last edition and have no idea what changes have been made.

Sorry and good luck,
Paul

Open the book and look on the bottom of the first page and see what edition it says it is. There are extra chapters in the third edition that are not in the first and other chapters have been expanded and revised. The full splice part and butterfly point sections are much clearer in the 3rd edition. There were way too many revisions for me to even remember all of them.

Thanks Chris!!!

Welcome back to you and ALL the cuemakers from Valley Forge - it was getting pretty dead in this forum and Cue Machinery while you were all gone!
