ob classic vs predator

I tried the OB classic - did not like it.
This shaft does not account for deflection nearly as much as the 314-2.
If anyone is looking to buy one of these, please, PLEASE, try one out first.
Now that is not to say that this is not a nice shaft, because it is. Just not to my liking. Personally I would say that the classic shaft is stiff with the deflection comparable to a G-core.
If you expect the performance of the 314-2 you will not be happy.
I did want to say that Royce and OB cues are great people and would do everything they could to make you happy.

If/when they come out with something new I will give them a try.

Simply said, I like it more than 314 because of the solid feel it gives me.

I have to agree with the previous poster that the deflection level is not as low as 314 but I would compromise it with the feel it gives... 314 shafts feel too hollow for my liking.

OB Classic gets my vote!

OB Classic pro?! Is there a difference? What is that? Do you mean the OB classic comes in pro and non pro version? I am assuming it is something to do with the tapering. Anywhere to get more reference?

Non-pro, or simply OB Classic has a 12.75mm size at the Tip, equivalent to OB-1 or 314. And Pro is 11.75mm at the tip, equivalent to OB-2 or Pred Z

i have the classic pro shaft.
i was using the 314-2 shaft previously and the changes was apparently quite large since the tip was from a 12.75mm to 11.75 mm tip.
i was able to get used to it pretty quick :thumbup: AND i love the shaft being that stiff, its just feel really solid when you hit it
