Shafts options for a Viking G14

I'm not looking to buy so I put it in the main forum. Let me know if I should post it in the WTB forum.

I'm simply looking for information. A buddy of mine has a Viking cue. He can put any shaft on it as long as it's a viking quick release joint, right?
