Tired of buzzed or drunk teammates.

From what I've seen the more serious a person is about league play, the worse they play. They don't realize their seriousness is hurting team unity and pissing off the rest of their team and their opponents. They nitpick every rule violation and have no sense of sportsmanship.

I agree with this a bit. I've been on teams that had a ton of fun and didn't take it seriously and we won our division. Next session, they were intent on repeating and ended up in last place with the same players... Another team I was on was we started playing having fun and loose, at week 10 we were in first place and they got dreams of Vegas in their minds and started getting all serious. We ended up falling out of first, but luckily we won playoffs and eventually the City tournament and made it there, but it was pure luck towards the end that we made it.

The serious players are usually the ones who cause all the drama looking for any rule violation and arguing over fouls. In a couple of leagues I played on, safeties weren't allowed but the serious players just couldn't help themselves and it would damn near start a brawl every time.

I played for a while and had a lot of fun but one rule I had was I wouldn't play on a team I didn't think would be fun. We won every session I played on except two and got second those times. It helped we had the two best players in town on the same team but we also had a couple of the worst. It was all about the fun.

One year our second best player showed up after being not going to bed on a drinking binge the night before. That's one of the times we got second but everyone laughed it off even though we lost about $400 a person that day. I go to bed too early for work these days and quit playing but we had a blast.
