Francisco Bustamante's cue?

thanks for the link.........

Dynamic-Billard in Germany is or maybe was his sponsors.

They have the Bear cues as their own brand, I think maybe its made by Falcon.

Here is a link to the Bears: http://www.dynamic-billard.com/itemgroup/23/22/0/0/bear-queues.html?setlanguage=en

Thanks for the post...I see there are 2 models featured that I've seen him using in pictures... the following link if for the cue that he currently plays with except for a few differences in the woods....

Still dont know exactly......

What is is the type of tip?? Soft hard Tiger Moori ??

Don't know. Last I heard he used the standard tip that is automatically on bear cues and he doesn't like thick tips and has it cut down shorter.....as far as brand tip...that's someting we'll have to find out from someone who can get a 1 on 1 interview wtih busty...Joey in cali maybe the person to ask?

Not sure what he plays with currently, but last year at DCC Fat Boy challenge i sat right next to him and he was playing with a maple bear cue with a Schon shaft

This is obviously a Busty signature series cue from Bear. I have seen games where he played with this cue. I have to find them still and link it... ( I would LOVE to have this cue..it was limited to a very small amount made..if anyone has one or knows where I can get one let me know asap! )

This is the current cue we've all seen him use..It is in fact a bear model cue.

Well as far as his tip diameter I have talked to some pros who have inquired about this and what was told to me was that he plays with a standard size shaft at 13mm...What tip he prefers is still up in air. I've been told also that he doesnt use layered tips... I have yet to confirm on this.....

The first cue on top I have a friend that shoot with the same model of the cue...but it made by Falcon

Thank You PistolPat for your information :)

Falcon & Bear...............

There are actually many cue brands that resemble the falcon brand company. So Far I've Seen Falcon, Bear, and Rhino and they all contain the triangle with an animal featured in the middle. All sister companies? I'm thinking so. In any case can you snap photos of yout friend's cue and post it here?

Theres the Falcon that I play with and man I'll tell you I love it tho the only thing is that the last time I got a tip put on the guy said that it is a 13 1/2 mm so I may have to have that taken care of .

Nice shooter Rob.......

Hey man Nice falcon. falcon IMHO is one of the more forgotten QUALITY production cues. Why change 13.5 if you like it stick with it. Who cares if the cue guy said its at 13.5 Stick with it bro. I need to get my hands on teh fancy signature series one I pictured above. I'de even do a nice fancy trade up with the right deal! So if anyone out there has one. contact me

Interesting...........

It's funny how everyone is fascinated by Efren Reyes cue that people all over the world are always asking what he shoots with, this and that yadda yadda yadda...but yet the man with the most well known stroke in all of pool has the least amount of attention as to what HE shoots with and all the details. I hope that all out there who have knowledge of Bustys cue/s are not only able to take pics of his cues and post it here but also chime in to inform us of the cue preferences of the man with the most famous stroke the game has ever seen.

No I don't want to Change it pat , When he measured it the shaft diameter he said it was 13.5 which I thought was odd when I thought they are supposed to be 13 on the noise . But I will tell you that falcon is a awsome cue , I've tried to get my hands on a Bear cue but they only sell them over seas which is a bumper .

Not all are 13mm exact...but it is rather odd for a standard

Yeha I hear you on the bear cue. I would love to just have a busty signature series fancy cue as my main. Would be an awesome thing to acquire.

Since we are on the topic of Francisco Bustamante... I have a question. I always wondered how Bustamante gripped his cue, does he grip his cue with the first 3 fingers? ( Thumb, Index finger, Middle Finger ) Or does he just grip his cue with just 2 fingers?? ( Thumb, Index finger ) I'm just wondering. :)

Hey Rudy he grips with just his thumb and index finger .

thanks this is exactly what im talkin bout lets keep it going. And yeah his grip is index and thumb with a relaxed wrist

Yes good point Pat about how loose his wrist is , now I've got a very similer stroke like that with the loose wrist and I've been stopped by other players asking me how I play like that , I'll have to post a video sometime of my stroke .

Wrist.............

Extremely loose...no stiffness at all in the wrist. its basically just hanging there.
