My TS Sneaky is getting a bit grungy. What's the best material to strip and clean the existing tung oil finish on the butt?

I actually like the feel and low profile matt finish on a true sneaky. Any similar alternative finishes that would offer better protection and a little more gloss?

Thx for the wisdom.........

Sand it down; 90, 120, 240 & 320 (sanding lengthwise of course). Apply about 6 to 8 coats of thin gunstock oil (Birchwood-Casey). Let dry about 4 hours depending on temperature--the warmer the better. Apply with a piece of old t-shirt. After 4 or 5 coats then wet sand with 600 grit. Clean real good and apply the rest of the coats until you are satisfied. Probably will not need any more sanding or polishing.

You can also buy it in a spray can now, but It smells very bad and I would not recommend it indoors with out exhaust equipment.
