Doing my own research on BFDLAD,

I am kinda new here really and I want some info. When I speak to BFDLAD he plays down his efforts with the Legends and Champions. What I want to know is does anyone else do what he does? I know he does not do major tourneys but I don't see anyone else doing the exhibition tours. Is he really the only one??

I am not sure Mark plays Pool, but he is part of BCAPL, and the CSI Team, as Manager/Road Manager/Idea MAn. Like a Guy Friday who tries to book clinics, exibitions, etc. He works hard on ideas, and has had many ideas that did not fly becuase of the econonmy, and recession IMHO. But BFDLAD, keeps trying to come up with iteas that work. Think a lot of idea Mark aka BFDLAD has now would have worked 5 years ago in a better economoney . JMHO.

I'm not sure if he's the only one, but he's the only one I know of and I bet there aren't many. Mark has spent years promoting exhibitions/pool schools, challenge matches such as the upcoming Strickland v Archer match, and promotional items like his hot sauces. From my point of view, it appears to be a lot of work to create unique opportunities for both pro players and spectators, probably for not much money. There is no question that the economy makes it tougher. It seems like it would be fun most of the time, and not so much fun at others. If he 'plays down' his efforts it's because he knows that the players are the show. How many times have you heard a guy say 'Mosconi came to our town for an exhibition when I as 6, and I've loved pool ever since'? Someone has to do the leg work on those or they don't happen, so if you see that face somewhere, buy him a Bud Light:)
