Question-Value of Ivory tusk?

Sorry for posting this in both forums, but I am under time pressure.
Whats the going rate on this tusk?
I am considering buying it but I am out of my element here.
Tusk is appx. 26" x 2" I don't have the weight yet.
I should have the weight before I make an offer.
Can anyone educate me at all?

The owner brought this tusk into the states long ago.

Hi Eddie-

The price depends on a lot of things, cracks, color, age, etc It will also depend on if it's just to look at or you want to use it for cue parts...kind of like buying an antique, they are all unique, so are valuable and some are just cool to have.

BTW, that is a kick-as stereo he's got there...
