There has been a slight pressure in the upper left part of my chest lately and with a history of heart problems in my family, plus a very annoying wife at times, I visited the docs to be sure. At 57, thats a good thing to do.
The treadmill was so much fun.
I was asked about exercising and how much I do. Yard work counts, vacumming and so on. I mentioned that I play alot of pool and would that count as walking cause I'm at the table constantly for at least 2 hours 3-4 times a week, if not more.
Turns out, it is a good thing cause of the walking, bending, an even the stimulation of the brain. Of course, not much for the carido.
Because I have not been very nice to my body over the years, I'm gonna have joint issues if I don't keep active. Pool playing daily like I do does help in keeping this goal witout putting to much stress on some of my joints, like the knee.
When I had broken thumbs, ankle, or shoulder, I used playing pool to help rehalibate from my injuries.
There is a healthly side to pool which isn't really mentioned alot. I know some older players and getting to the room to play a little is the highlight of their day. I like playing and watching these people cause it is all about fun to them. Just getting out to do something they love, no matter what the end results of the games are.
There is more to pool that just money, and one upmanship.
